Original Item: Only One Available. The only good thing about a war is that they eventually come to an end. America and her allies were victorious in what some call the two “Good Wars” —World War I and World War II—ticker tape parades, elaborate welcome home events for our soldiers and the generals who led them, and often riotous celebrations followed.

Flags and banners like this example were seen being displayed everywhere from houses, businesses, gas stations, places of worship, you name it. Americans were proud of the men and women who put their lives on the line in the defense of others and messages like “Welcome Home” were appreciated by the servicemen and women. Just those small two words meant the world to those who had gone overseas away from home.

This “message flag” is in wonderful condition and appears to be printed, depicting an American eagle in front of a large red V for Victory, with the text

WELCOME
HOME
BOB

The banner appears to have been purchased with BOB being added later by the family. The grommets are still in good shape. A great personally used welcome home banner! Comes ready for further research and display!
