Instructor Ling Chi provides an encouraging and clear exploration of the origins of Chinese calligraphy. Learn the four major styles of writing and practice foundational characters such as 'Love,' 'Loyalty,' 'Eternity,' and 'Fortune.' These characters are composed of strokes that form the basis of Chinese writing. If time permits, students will also design their Chinese names. Explore the pictographic elements that make up Chinese characters, making Chinese calligraphy one of the few logographic writing systems still in use today. Join us in this four-part workshop and delve into the essence of Chinese calligraphy.
